Extra Care

LIPILAGE 10/ 20mg

Active Ingredient: Atorvastatin

These medications are used to treat high cholesterol and to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Atorvastatin is a statin that works by blocking an enzyme that the liver needs to produce cholesterol, which can help to lower cholesterol levels in the blood.

  • Common side effects include muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, and headache. Serious side effects may include liver problems and allergic reactions

ROSEMIDE-S

Active Ingredients: Frusemide (20mg) + Spironolactone (50mg)

ROSEMIDE-S is used to treat fluid retention (edema) in conditions such as congestive heart failure, liver cirrhosis, and kidney disease.

Frusemide is a loop diuretic that inhibits the reabsorption of sodium and chloride in the ascending loop of Henle, leading to increased urine output. Spironolactone is a potassium-sparing diuretic that works by blocking the effects of aldosterone, a hormone that promotes salt and water retention in the body.

Common side effects include electrolyte imbalances (such as low potassium and magnesium), dizziness, headache, and stomach upset. Less common but more serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, hearing loss, and liver or kidney damage.

PENISOL VK

Active Ingredient: Phenoxymethylpenicillin (250mg)

PENISOL VK is used to treat bacterial infections such as strep throat, tonsillitis, and skin infections.

Lansopaz inhibits the gastric H K ATPase (the proton pump) which
catalyzes the exchange of H and K. It is effective in the inhibition of
both basal acid secretion and stimulated acid secretion.

Common side effects include stomach upset, diarrhea, and rash. Less common but more serious side effects may include allergic reactions and liver damage.

INAZIP 2.5/5 INAZIP-M 500/ 850/1000

Active Ingredients: Linagliptin + Metformin

These medications are used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, either alone or in combination with other medications.

Linagliptin is an oral medication used to manage type 2 diabetes by increasing insulin release from the pancreas and reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver. Metformin also reduces glucose production in the liver and increases insulin sensitivity in the body’s tissues.

Some common side effects of linagliptin and metformin include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Other potential side effects may include hypoglycemia, allergic reactions, and pancreatitis.

INNOLOL 10/20/40mg

Active Ingredient: Propranolol

These medications are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), angina (chest pain), and to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Propranolol is a beta-blocker that works by slowing the heart rate and reducing the workload on the heart, which can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

  • Common side effects include tiredness, dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea. Serious side effects may include low blood pressure, heart failure, and allergic reactions.

ROUTIN 5/10/20 mg

Active Ingredient: Rosuvastatin

These medications are used to treat high cholesterol and to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Rosuvastatin is a statin that works by blocking an enzyme that the liver needs to produce cholesterol, which can help to lower cholesterol levels in the blood.

Side Effects: Common side effects include muscle pain, joint pain, nausea, and headache. Serious side effects may include liver problems and allergic reactions.

LOTACE 25/50mg, LOTACE-A LOTACE-H

Active Ingredients: Losartan Potassium (25 mg or 50 mg) and additional active ingredients depending on the product.

These medications are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and to reduce the risk of stroke and heart attack in people with heart disease or who are at risk for these conditions.

Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker that works by blocking the effects of a hormone that causes blood vessels to narrow, which can help to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

Common side effects include headache, dizziness, cough, and muscle pain. Serious side effects may include low blood pressure, kidney problems, and allergic reactions.

AMD 2.5/ 5/10mg AMD-AT

Active Ingredient: Amlodipine and additional active ingredients depending on the product.

These medications are used to treat high blood pressure(hypertension) and angina (chest pain)

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing blood vessels and reducing the workload on the heart, which can lower blood pressure and improve blood flow.

Common side effects include swelling in the ankles or feet, headache, dizziness, flushing, fatigue, and nausea. Serious side effects may include low blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, and allergic reactions

LANSOPAZ
30mg

Active Ingredient: Lansoprazole

LANSOPAZ 30 is used to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger Ellison syndrome.

Lansopaz inhibits the gastric H K ATPase (the proton pump) which
catalyzes the exchange of H and K. It is effective in the inhibition of
both basal acid secretion and stimulated acid secretion.

Common side effects include headache, diarrhea, and stomach upset. Less common but more serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, bone fractures, and infections such as pneumonia and Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea

MYPRIDE
1mg/2mg

Active Ingredient: Glimipride

These medications are used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, either alone or in combination with other medications.

Glimipride is an oral medication used to manage type 2 diabetes by stimulating insulin production in the pancrease.

Common side effects include headache, nausea, and dizziness.
Serious side effects may include low blood sugar. Use
during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not recommended.

CITAZIP
25/50/100mg

Active Ingredient: Sitagliptin

These medications are used to manage type 2 diabetes in adults, either alone or in combination with other medications.

Dipeptidyl peptidase 4 (DPP-4) is an enzyme that breaks down the
incretins GLP-1 and GIP, gastrointestinal hormones released in
response to a meal. Citazip works to inhibit Dipeptidyl peptidase 4
(DPP-4) which prevents breakdown of GLP-1 and GIP. Thus, they are
able to increase the secretion of insulin and suppress the release of
glucagon by the alpha cells of the pancreas. This drives blood glucose
levels towards normal.

Some common side effects of sitagliptin include gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Other potential side effects may include hypoglycemia, allergic reactions, and pancreatitis.

CARBOMET
500/1000mg

Active Ingredient: Metformin

Carbomet is the first-line medication for the treatment of type 2
diabetes, particularly in people who are overweight. It is also used as a second-line agent for infertility in those with polycystic ovary
syndrome. Diabetes Mellitus during pregnancy is also treated with
Carbomet

Carbomet works by decreasing glucose production by the liver, by
increasing the insulin sensitivity of body tissues, and by
increasing GDF15 (Growth/Differentiation Factor 15) secretion, which
reduces appetite and caloric intake.

The most common adverse effect of Carbomet is gastrointestinal
irritation, including diarrhea, cramps, nausea, vomiting, and
increased flatulence. The serious but rare complication of metformin
is Lactic Acidosis.
